Eliza Hooper is a Los Angeles-based writer and director whose work explores the intersection of comedy and emotion. She blends observational, situational and physical humor to tell stories that entertain and foster human connection. She is particularly interested in the use of humor as a tool for healing, learning and sparking empathy.
A true multi-media creator, Eliza has written, directed and produced narrative and branded content across the digital spectrum for companies like Comedy Central, IFC, ABC, the Lean In Foundation, Ellen Digital and Funny Or Die, where she served as a Creative Director for several years. Her film credits include the sci-fi thriller Wellwood, which she directed for studioADI. Previously, she was a writer for the Upright Citizens’ Brigade sketch show the Get Go.
In addition to her professional work, Eliza serves as an advisory board member for the Justice For My Sister Collective.
